Hi, i want to ask how to alt-tab, or minimize full screen games such as counterstrike 1.6 on CrossOver Help. Welcome to Mac-Forums. You must Register (free) before posting. To view discussions, select the desired subject forum(s) below. Oct 20, 2009 Generally speaking you can't minimize a full-screen application unless that 'feature' is built-in. Try command-tabbing instead. Click to expand. Well I could do it on my Windows side by pressing. Apr 14, 2006 How do I minimize a full screen app or game? For example, if I were in a game, that takes up the entire screen, how do I get back to the desktop without exiting the game? Kind of like on Windows, when you open the Start menu while in a game, it brings you back to the desktop. Here's how you can switch apps in full-screen mode: Use the Application Switcher. Press Command-Tab and keep pressing Tab until you find. Swipe left or right with four fingers on a trackpad or Magic Mouse. Press the Control key, then press the right-arrow key or left-arrow key to move back. There are two primary ways you can get this done: 1. Click the yellow button in the top-left corner of the window — when you do, the screen will disappear and a small icon of it will appear in your dock. Use the keyboard command 'Command+M' to minimize the screen. Use apps in full screen on Mac On your Mac, move the pointer to the green button in the top-left corner of the window. In full screen, do any of the following. To stop using the app full screen, move the pointer to the green button again.
Unless you want your game to appear in a Window that's smaller than the whole screen, you'll probably want to fill in your current resolution for Desktop size. For example, if your screen is '1808p', you'd replace 800x600 with 1920x1080. This should make it possible for you to Alt+Tab out, because this makes Wine encapsulate your game in a window. Even if the game itself doesn't like to be minimized, and even if.

Minimize Fullscreen Game Mac Free
- edited January 2010I know its so annoying! (i have a mac too) i tried a cheat that my friend told me about that puts the full screen off but when i tried it, it didn't work but messed up the graphics on my computer and i couldn't close it so i had to switch it off at the wall.
any help?? its really annoying me and i hate the full screen - edited January 2010Hi,
On Macs, you can toggle fullscreen mode on or off by pressing the Command and Enter keys. If switching to windowed mode, you will want to reduce the screen resolution via the game's graphics settings screen first. When you need help with The Sims 3 or The Sims 4, be sure to check out the Master Help Thread today! - edited January 20100

WRONG ITS ALT AND ENTER - edited May 2013The main differences between Macs and Windows for keyboard commands is the terminology and key choices. Most Windows keyboards I remember had a windows button and the old Apples (Macs) had a button with the Apple logo on it (Then it became a clover and then the word command). I have been putting both kinds of hardware for end users systems together since 1985, and became a Mac Operating System Fanatic, so no windows for me.
However, since the windows key never caught on with the developers with most things the CMD key does can be substituted for the CTRL key.
in this case one can use CMD/CTRL + Tab, to change the prominent application, which will force the game to minimize and put the user using a different app, if you hold the CMD/CTRL key down it will pop up with a micro window that will allow you to cycle through all of the apps just like the space bar in the game does your characters.
CMD/CTRL + Enter(Carriage Return key) will allow you to put the app in a window just like VMware and Crossover does with the version of MSWindows I run on my system from time to time. Like Nichaedemus it is better to decide how big the window will be by changing the game option while in full screen first, for both operating systems.
now if only some one can help me get my downloads to work I will be enjoying this game once again. - edited July 2013On Macs, if you are in full screen and hit command and then enter (or return), it will make the screen smaller, but not minimize it completely.
- edited August 2013hi sorry I exited by mistake, how do you get it back to full screen? :-)
